In 2021, the world was still upside down because of the global Covid pandemic. In-person events were not happening, and we had to pivot and find a way to bring together program participants, leadership alumni, Charles Butt Scholars, and strategic partners in a meaningful, virtual way. We adapted our annual leadership symposia approaches to honor the work of educators in a tough and confusing time through a virtual roll call, poetry readings, a student dance performance, a robust portfolio of presenters, and mailed swag packages to help participants feel appreciated, connected, and engaged.
In the uncertainty, in the gap, in the not knowing. This is where we shine.
