
Cuvée Coffee is a specialty coffee roasting company founded in 1998. Cuveé is known for its direct trade practices, custom-dialed roasts, and for pioneering Nitro Cold Brew. They source their coffee beans from Central America, South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Their delicious coffee is sold through their website, subscription services, and retail locations. Cuvée retained darbyDarnit to boost their media presence and storytelling in the Houston and Austin markets, refresh their brand identity and website, and help expand their social media footprint.
Cuvée had multiple employees who, beyond their work for the roastery, also participated in national and international barista competitions and were donned as an “Ultimate Barista.” Competing baristas had to prepare various latte drinks and come up with their own signature espresso drink in an “Iron Chef”-style event judged by international barista champions. In these events, baristas are judged based on taste, technique, and presentation.
