The storm is nowhere near finished with her visit, but so far we’ve just had a few gusts of wind – nothing remarkable. Sure, Rita hasn’t made landfall, but it still looks like those of us Northwest of Houston will avoid the tough stuff. We likely will still experience tropical storm winds and maybe some heavy rains, but right now, it’s really odd not to be feeling anything.
The lights flicker every once in awhile, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed and hoping we will maintain power. We’re running the dishwasher just in case, so we can have as many clean dishes as possible in the event we do lose power.
Otherwise, all is quiet in The Woodlands.
